Albert Hunt Trust

The following funding is available:

Core funding of hospices - typical grant sizes range from £10,000 to £20,000

Core funding support for the homeless - typical grant sizes range from £5,000 to £10,000

Promoting health and wellbeing - typical grant sizes range from £500 to £5,000

Applications will be considered from registered charities in the UK

Organisations applying in the health and wellbeing category should have an annual income of below £250,000 and those applying in the support for the homeless category should have an annual fundraised income (non statutory) of below £500,000.

The funding can be used for a range of purposes, which could include:

  • Grants for core funding to include staff costs

  • Ongoing running costs for specific projects

  • Applications are reviewed on a monthly basis

Foyle Foundation - Community Grants

Their Small Grants Scheme is designed to support charities registered and operating in the UK, especially those working at grass roots and local community level, in any field, across a wide range of activities. The focus is to make one-year grants only to cover core costs or essential equipment, to enable ongoing service provision, homeworking, or delivery of online digital services to charities that can show financial stability.

The Yapp Charitable Trust

Offer grants for core funding to registered charities with a total annual expenditure of less than £40k who are undertaking work that focuses on one of the following:

• Elderly people
• Children and young people aged 5 - 25
• People with physical impairments, learning difficulties or mental health challenges
• Social welfare
• Education and learning

Grants of up to £3,000 per year for three years are available.

Trustees meet 3 times per year to consider applications and a decision time can take up to 5 months from the date of submission.

  • Funding for specific projects and activities children and young people aged 18 or under. Priority to smaller, local organisations and rarely fund organisations with income above £1 million. For UK wide Hospices and Housing Associations there is no maximum income limit. They will only consider applications for over £15,000 pa, if you are a registered non profit.

  • Minor Grants are aimed at supporting small local charitable organisations which deliver services directly to beneficiaries. They fund core costs, average grant size is £500 - £4,999

    Community Grants are aimed at assisting and supporting the development of smaller local charitable organisations which deliver services directly to beneficiaries. Grant Size in the range of £5,000-£20,000

  • Grants are available to organisations doing legally charitable work in the UK that focuses on Communities or people most affected being involved in campaigning or leading change / Work which makes connections across our aims: Our Natural World, A Fairer Future and Creative, Confident Communities. You must have an annual turnover of less than £100,000. Funds of £30,000 upwards
