Criteria:
Your registered charity is based in Stockport, Cheshire, and Greater Manchester.
You are applying for a grant no more than £5,000.
The applicant must not have received monies from the Foundation within the previous 2 years.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate that their application aligns with the charity’s objectives.
You don’t need to be a Member of the Society to apply for funding.
Charity Service Greater Manchester Grants
Organisations funded:
Funding for registered charities, constituted community groups and voluntary organisations working in Greater Manchester to prevent homelessness, reduce social isolation or support for vulnerable families & children.
Grants are available to support activity and project costs; capital costs; and/or organisational core costs.
Amount Available:
The maximum amount of grant for any one year is £3,000. The average annual grant tends to be around £1,000.
On average, 40% of completed grant applications are successful.

Criteria:
They normally focus their support on organisations that are working within one of the priority areas and:
are embedded within the local community;
encourage community participation;
involve volunteers;
have been registered or active for a period of at least 3 years;
have a track record of delivery; and,
have an annual expenditure of no more than £1m.
Forever Manchester

Manchester Guardian Society
Organisations funded:
Small voluntary organisations in Greater Manchester. You do not have to be a registered charity to apply, but the work you ask us to support must be legally charitable. The charity's approach to Community Interest Companies (CICs) and other non-charitable social enterprises is to consider helping such organisations, where the purpose of the grant can clearly be seen to meet the Trust’s charitable objects.
Applications will not be considered from organisations established within the last three years.
Amount Available:
There is no minimum grant however the maximum grant awarded tends to be for £3,500.

Criteria:
Grants are restricted to specific revenue projects, rather than general running or capital costs. However, grants for capital projects or running costs may occasionally be made.
The trustees are particularly interested in assisting the following:-
Organisations for young people e.g. scouts, guides, youth organisations.
Organisations which support sick and disabled people.
Groups providing for the elderly and disadvantaged members of society.
Educational initiatives by arts organisations, particularly children and young people;
Community associations

Greater Manchester High Sheriffs Trust
Who can apply:
Not-for-profit groups and organisation across Greater Manchester can apply.
Amount available:
There are two levels of funding available:
Grants up to £500.
Grants of between £501 and £5,000.
Deadlines:
There are four funding rounds per year.
Applications can be submitted between the following times only:
1 December to 20 December for February meetings.
1 March to 31 March for May meetings.
1 June to 30 June for August meetings.
1 September to 30 September for November meetings.
Applications will be notified of any decisions made after the following Trustee meeting.
Criteria:
This fund aims to support projects and activities that align with the objectives of the Trust:
Improve the quality of life of all communities in the Greater Manchester area, with vulnerable groups and victims of crime being priorities.
Support wide-ranging initiatives that address issues of crime reduction concerning the public and affecting the quality of their lives.
Support community and race-related initiatives including those which assist vulnerable groups with special and distinct needs, as identified through local consultation.
Seek to support and complement initiatives arising from locally agreed Crime and Disorder crime reduction strategies, and support initiatives that arise from local consultation identifying concerns outside these strategies.

Minor Grants
These are grants between £500 and £5,000.
Community Grants
These are grants between £5,000 and £25,000. When there is availability on the programme, application is by invite only.

These are grants between £25,000 and £40,000. When there is availability on the programme, application is by invite only.
